I am new to TTRPG. It seems this information is not included on a lot of game descriptions on itch.io. Maybe it’s obvious to most people, but not to me!
How many players does this game support? (please clarify if it includes or excludes the GM)
As the game is a hack of Lasers & Feelings it usually uses a similar amount of players and a GM and is not a Solo game. A hack usually means someone was inspired by the original game and made an own version or insipred by it version of it.
As far as I can see the information you seek is also in the Screenshots of the game above (first page is players, second page is GM).
In Renewal & Riot, you are residents of a small urban neighbourhood. You have two stats; Renewal helps your with community building, and Riot lets you fight back against threats such as corrupt politicians and evil corporations.
