A Drop in the Ocean Game Demo

Drop in the Ocean: An Online Story is a visual novel in three Acts about Emily, a woman in her late 20s who struggles to find companionship. She finds friends and a community of people, but also encounters some of the worst of the internet in the process.

This demo contains most of Act 2, with Emily already situated in her online community, waiting for a big announcement from the developers of Emberlight, the community's favorite game. The full game is expected to be released in 2024.

Please note that this game contains extremely offensive sexist language and slurs. All of these are taken from real examples of online harassment experienced by women.

The demo for Drop was made in partial fulfillment of the requirements for the degree of Master of Fine Arts at the University at Buffalo.
